Are the medicines you make the same as the prescription medications?: We use the same active ingredients that are found in the drugs you would get in any other prescription, all of our chemicals are pharmaceutical grade in quality and purity.
How do your products differ from generic medicines?: We are not a manufacturer. Each prescription is uniquely compounded based on the prescriber's order and the patients need.
Exactly what are Natural Products?: Natural products are generally understood to be botanical or herbal agents that may be used as preventive, curative, or adjunctive therapies to alleviate disease or improve the quality of life by supporting and working with the body. Under the law, most natural products are classified as dietary supplements - a broad class that includes vitamins, minerals, herbals, and other nutritional products. Specific health claims may not be made for these products.
What about insurance?: Specialty Pharmacy is happy to provide the reciepts and documentation necessary for reimbursement to the patient.
Why are pharmacists key to the safe use of natural products?: Pharmacists have the knowledge of pharmaceuticals that patients may be taking and their potential for interaction with natural products. Pharmacists also can work with physicians and other health care professionals to incorporate natural treatment protocols into patients treatment plans.
